On December 1st, 2010, Lady Gaga will die and quit Facebook and Twitter as part of a digital life sacrifice. Find out why and how you can buy her life back.

Lady Gaga is used to shocking the public, whether it’s by wearing an outrageous outfit or shooting an even more daring video. But on Wednesday December 1st 2010, the iconic pop star will die and appear in a coffin to symbolize her “last tweet and testament,” all of which is part of an innovative media campaign to raise money for the Keep A Child Alive (KAC) charity, run by Alicia Keys to provide “treatment, love and support to families affected by HIV/AIDS.”

World AIDS Day

Wednesday December 1st is World AIDS day and Lady Gaga and other major stars have pledged their support for the KAC charity, by agreeing to quit major social networking sites in what has been called a digital life sacrifice. Their so-called digital deaths are intended to stir public conscience and question why one celebrity’s death should raise so much attention when millions of other deaths go un-noticed.

Lady Gaga and fellow stars including Justin Timberlake, Kim Kardashian, Katie Holmes, Usher and Serena Williams, will sign off from their Twitter and Facebook accounts until donations reach the $1 million mark. So if you are a fan and want to see her tweet or post on Facebook again, you need to buy her life back by making a donation.

Power of Social Media

The campaign, orchestrated by Alicia Keys who has 2.6 million followers on Twitter herself, is cleverly using the immense power of social media to raise awareness for her charity. Lady Gaga has almost 24 million Facebook fans and more than 7 million followers on Twitter. Her last “tweet and testament” will plead for her life in what is sure to be a quick-fire way to raise the $1 million required, perhaps even “all by herself,” according to Leigh Blake, president and co-founder of Keep A Child Alive.

About the Keep A Child Alive Charity

Keys’ charity, Keep A Child Alive, cares for families affected by HIV/AIDS, especially children where 50% die before the age of 2 and 80% die before the age of 5.

As stated on the KAC website, “Keep A Child Alive buys more than just the pills needed to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. It buys the essential nutrition, shelter, support and education to help ensure those pills are taken properly and effectively. It buys the things we all take for granted, but that make all the difference. A bed. A roof. A ride. A book. A smile. “

Buy Life and Raise Lady Gaga from the Dead

Visit the KAC website to raise Lady Gaga from the dead. Give as much as you can to buy life for a child affected by HIV/AIDS. Just $1 from every Facebook Gaga fan will smash the charity’s $1 million target; every little helps.
